What is a Boudoir Marathon?
This boudoir marathon is a  boudoir party at a choice hotel in Greater Rochester area, and organized by Monnalisa Boudoir, Gaetano Scollo Photography. You book a time slot for your hair and makeup (our amazing stylist will be on-location for your convenience), and your photo shoot. If you have any questions or can’t decide on your outfit selections we will have a styling assistant available to help you make decisions at the last minute.
Boudoir photography is a great gift to yourself or your loved one. We get busy in our day-to-day lives and sometimes forget what it’s like to feel beautiful and pampered. A boudoir session spoils you and lets you truly feel like the beautiful person you are. When is the last time you’ve done something for yourself? When is the last time you’ve felt thrilled with the way you look? Let’s start building confidence one woman at a time!

Who can get boudoir photographs done?

Any adult woman or couple (18 years of age +) can enjoy a Boudoir photo shoot to create beautiful, sensual, artistic images just for her own enjoyment. Gifts for Valentine’s Day, the wedding day, anniversaries, and for those serving abroad in the military are very popular. Other reasons include milestone birthdays and weight loss or other body improvement celebrations. The truth is: you don’t need a reason; you just need to realize that you deserve it.

Why book during a marathon instead of a one-on-one shoot?
There are benefits to both types of Boudoir sessions. Booking during a marathon means you walk into an ongoing boudoir party, where everyone is focused on making sure you look your best and have a great time. There will be music and refreshments in a fun and exciting atmosphere. One-on-one sessions are awesome but far more relaxed and laid-back and usually take a lot longer.

How much does it cost to book my slot for the marathon?

You are officially booked when your $150 (non-refundable) deposit has been received. This deposit can be paid by personal check, money order, cash, or online via email money transfer or PayPal. The deposit amount is applied to the total cost of your Boudoir Marathon session, which is $300 – BUT if you book within the Early Bird time frame, your cost is only $250, so claim YOUR spot in this exciting event as soon as possible. The remainder (aka balance) of the cost is due a week before the Boudoir Marathon, but you are absolutely welcome to pay the total sooner than the marathon date.

How should I arrive for my shoot? What should I bring?
Once you are officially booked (and your deposit has been received), Monnalisa Boudoir's staff will send your Boudoir Info Email, full of tips on how to prepare for your shoot, what to bring, and how to arrive. A quick summary would be: bring at least 2 different outfits (perhaps one naughty and one nice), arrive with a clean face / clean un-styled hair (bring a couple photos of how you want to be styled to show the Hair & Makeup Artist), get a good night’s sleep, and drink lots of water leading up to the shoot. Wear loose-fitting clothing and undergarments when you arrive so that you don’t have red marks on your skin. Bring outfits that you like and make you feel good, because confidence shows in the images! Don’t forget some high-heel shoes.

Can I bring my lover/sister/pal/puppy/hubby/baby to my Boudoir session?
You may have a friend drop you off and pick you up, but due to limited space in the rooms, only the photographer and the client (and at times, the female photographer’s assistant) will be in the event area. Children/babies of any age are NOT permitted at the Boudoir Marathon for legal reasons. Please arrange reliable childcare elsewhere for the duration of your appointment. Men are not permitted for the sake of privacy and the comfort of all the other clients. Do not bring any pets to the event.

What is the hotel location like?
There are two different rooms in our suite. The first room has the hair Styling and Makeup station and a private dressing room/bathroom. The second room is ALL for boudoir, will contain the lights and photography equipment, and is where you will go when it’s time for your shoot. There is a bed, a couple chairs, throw rugs and furry blankets, satin sheets and scarves, and many smaller props to use in your shoot We will also utilize any windows in the room for some sexy silhouettes and some soft natural light. The actual hotel name and address will only be revealed to the ladies who officially book a time slot; no party-crashers allowed.
